2009-10 Winter Clean Up / Overhaul
Things started out with the usual disassemble which is always easy. Snapped lots of photos and bagged/labeled as I went along.
Packaged Wiper Motor & Headlight Motors and sent off to Steve Hackel Only 1 Headlight Motor needed Steve's expertise but he suggest I send both so they would be better synchronized. Glad I did because Steve cleaned and made minor repairs. Wiper motor definitely needed his services. Got them back within 7 days.
Packaged and sent Speedometer and Tach to Jason Oliver to get Calibrated. Working with Jason was a pleasure as I had questions about other Gauges and he always answered my emails in a timely manor.
Quick note on Dash Pad Re-skin...after removing pads I notice that somewhere/sometime ago they had been re-skinned and as I was removing the old skin things went downhill quick. In a nutshell the pads were BUBBA's and junk and after talking to re-skinners (sp) I opted to purchase NEW pads ($$$ ouch) BUT they look great.
With above sent off I started on Volt Meter Conversion. I had done some research but needed a lot more information. During reading many C2/C3 "Battery/Volt Gauge" threads it started me down many different paths (project creep) J. Along with the Volt Meter Conversion I also:
